The fixed plate for AV89 and double variated machines ís different. The angle is the same, but the widht of the bigger belts, will stop it from sinking back down to the lowest gear. The difference between the two plates is actually quite simple. There is either a ring on the back (Regular vario), or on the clutchside of the plate (AV89 and double vario). You can use a standard plate and put a ring in before screwing it back on. Measure the height of the ring on the original plate and make one the same height. Slide that on, then screw the new plate on. You will have a little thread less for the fixing bolt, but it will work.
