Has anyone had success ordering from the Scootshop in France? the site looks to have everything that i need but I'm unsure about the language barrier when I go to order, any advice would be appreciated.

You can ask them questions in english no problem. I've ordered parts from them three times and to satisfaction.

I bought an original cylinder from scootbikeshop a few weeks ago.

Maybe I got the last one (sorry!)

I ordered on a Saturday and it arrived in the UK on the Wednesday. Some things don't arrive as fast from within the UK never mind france.

If I find I need anythin else I would use them again.

A quick question, is there a right or wrong way the piston can go into the cylinder? I think there is a dot on the piston crown but I can't see where that would match up on the cylinder.

Original or aftermarket you will still need to check the port vertical alignment when you install the cylinder to make sure the ports are not obstructed when they should be fully open. Also check that the piston does not go higher than the cylinder deck at TDC and that the bottom of the skirt is not higher then the bottom of the exhause port at TDC.
Another good thing would be to check the event timing for exhause, transfer and intake durations and also the port window sizes for exhause, transfer and intake.

so, i first have to find someone to restore my crank...

ports are bigger than my old ones, well, 25kmh vs.45kmh, seems correct:)

timimg looks correct (compared to my old one), piston is identic.

post pictures later
